Y’all ain’t ready for this discussion yet 🧐

I remember using facebook a lot, specially the first years after I moved to the USA seven years ago. I used to do this because it was the main way to keep in touch with my loved ones in Peru.🇵🇪

Then, I slowly stopped using it because of two main reasons. My news feed was always “fed” with Peruvian political debates, and religious debates as well. I love debates, but the ones with facts. But, in the case of facebook, anyone with access to internet was the best defensor of his/her idea based mostly on rumors, and not facts. 📚

The only reason I kept my facebook account open was because of the memes. These ones are the best! 🤪Because for keeping in touch with my family and friends, there is always WhatsApp.

However, now due to the pandemic I spend some of my extra time looking for good memes, just to escape from the bad news everywhere. 😅Therefore, Facebook would be a paradise if its main purpose would be memes posting.🧐

Nevertheless, thats not the case. While scrolling through it I haven’t found much of a political debate lately, but still find the second one, the religious debate. These ones always get pretty intense, and somehow funny since some people write as they think, vaguely.

Now, ✝️Christianity is no longer based in only one and unique traditional church or denomination. One can find many forms of Christianity nowadays, and in a country like the USA with religious liberty everyone respects each others views and beliefs.

However, on Facebook, the story is different. Among the religious debates EVERYONE says to be the “only” and “correct” church of Christ and to hold “THE TRUTH”, giving agnostics and atheist the best excuse to quit and don’t believe in God.🤔

So, some of the predominant christian denominations I have seen on those “debates” are the Adventists, the Catholics, the Jehovah’s Witnesses, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (uff this one was long to write), and I don’t know why, also some evangelicals that waste their time🤦🏽‍♂️. Ok, I’m also guilty of this last one, on my early christian days, trying to “defend my truth” -.-, but not anymore. I hope so…

Looks like the denominations mentioned before forget 🤔that the first christians weren’t called by their denominations names.

Instead, they were called just “christians”, and in a despicable manner. They weren’t called adventists, catholics, Jehovah’s witnesses, mormons, anglicans, baptists, evangelicals, pentecostals, and the list could forever go on..😴

If one truly believes in Christ and follows him according to the Bible, one should always present himself as a christian, and not by his denomination name. Then, did ✝️Christ come, died for our sins, and resurrected for us to put our religion first before Him? I don’t think so, but y’all ain’t ready for this discussion, yet…

Talking about discussion and debate, how do christian religious hold and defend their own truth most of the time?

First of all, with their own materials or doctrines, and leaders’ ideas such us “according to the book of Mormon, the Atalaya, the Catechism, to Ellen G. White, Joseph Smith (and many other “god” elders), to Charles Taze Russell, to the Pope, etc…

Second, with their own versions of the Bible, which is fine and correct. Actually, if we are among followers of the ideas of Christ, it should be used as the FIRST and main source of clarifying a position or an idea. But try to do this? Nah, “the Bible itself is not enough”. How come? Isn’t the Bible the infalible word of God among followers of Christ?!🤔

Therefore, in my opinion a good debate (among christians) would be based using mainly the Bible, and also historical facts. If a christian from another denomination wants to convince me from something (either good or wrong), he/she should merely use the Bible and history to prove me his/her “truth”.

Otherwise, it doesn’t make sense if for example, I use Baptist’s doctrine books in order to persuade or convince another christian about the “truth” if he/she is not familiar with my denomination. In addition, I would even use his/her own bible to share my point of view, but I don’t think many christians (mostly facebook users) are ready to do this.

Furthermore, as christians we have a great book in common🙏🏽, but sadly is the last one to bring us together since instead, we hold onto ideas written by our “semi- god leaders” that we don’t dare to question at all.

The less we know, the better for many religious “leaders”. The less we read the Bible holding the only TRUTH✝️, the better for them to deviate us to their own fabricated “truth”.

This is why many of those leaders are very good politicians and viceversa because, they know how easy is to manipulate the mass if these ones don’t know much or nothing🧐. For instance, if the masses know something, the knowledge comes from their own doctrines, which is called indoctrination.🤷🏽‍♂️

If one tries to compare or contrast those doctrines with other sources, will be deemed as “unbeliever or heretic”. How sad 🤦🏽‍♂️and academically incorrect is this practice in a so advanced era that we live on. So many books, so many articles, and information to compare and contrast, but we just want to follow what “papa and mama (religious leaders)” say.

At this point, even though I am in favor of the unity 🙏🏽of christians through the only TRUTH that the Bible offers, definitely I am not in favor of ecumenism and in religious universality.

To say that all religions lead to God and that we shouldn’t be afraid of other religions is kind of saying: “you know what, historically we have been drastic about being the only one religion, but in order to be modern and cool, lets do one size Christ fits all. We have endorsed the Americas invasion in order to christianize them because they were pagans. We have endorsed the Incas, Mayas, Aztecs and many other Indian tribes to be robed, raped, massacred and to go extinct because their religion didn’t lead to our God. However, lets leave all of that in the past because now, we are all love and peace. How cool eh?”

Yeah right, pretty late this kindness Mr. descendant of St. Peter; let’s say just about 500 years later? Good try though, I gave one “haha” to your statement to be fair…

Well, I guess some might applaud how the church is changing its ideas through the times, but for me to say that all religions lead to God is also to say that it was in vain that the first christians died.

It was in vain that they were crucified, burned, dismembered and more. It would have been better if they and their families had accepted to follow Jupiter (the main Roman Empire god) and bend the knee to the Caesar. After all, they could have continued following Christ in secret, and for instance to have a peaceful and good life. How sweet eh?😊

However, for the first christians it was a matter of faith and conviction, something that many “christian leaders” lack off today. These last ones and their followers are constantly changing their “position” and compromising their faith because their foundation is not the God from the Bible, but y’all ain’t ready for this discussion yet.

Of course, if one’s faith foundation is in a human being such as St. Peter and his “successors”, Ellen G. White, Joseph Smith (and his “wise” elders), Charles T. Russell, Joel Osteen, Cash Luna, Dante Gebel, and many others, it will change and shake.

The only unshakable foundation is Christ✝️, but many prefer and would die to defend and follow shakable ones.

Christ and his ideas are the same yesterday, today and tomorrow, but I guess y’all ain’t ready for him crushing your lifestyles, as he did with mine, for the better. He won’t change through times and generations just to be cool with us, which is the coolest thing.😎

If Christ would have been cool, he wouldn’t have been crucified, but he didn’t bend the knee to Satan and his offers, to the romans, and neither to the bad religious jews just to be “cool”. He had to follow his Salvation plan, therefore he died for us, and also resurrected to show us the same last fate for the ones who believe and follow him. Now this is really something cool!🙏🏽

After all, if Christ didn’t compromise his mission and message trying to be “cool” with the powerful ones 2000 years ago, why should he change and bend his message now just to be cool with us? On the contrary, I think we should be the ones trying to be cool with Him by obeying him, and not viceversa.🤷🏽‍♂️

Otherwise, it won’t be cool to spend years, millenniums, and the eternity in a place called HELL destined for Satan, his fallen angels, and everyone who willingly wants to follow them.

It won’t be cool to spend the eternity in hell because what many ignore and reject now as folktale stories, will constantly be in their minds reminding them forever and ever that it wasn’t.🤔

Because for many, God is just an idea. For others, this God has chosen them and their churches to have their own truth and way to heaven, rejecting everyone else that wants to discuss only with the Bible.

For the many, only ⏳time will prove that God isn’t just an idea, and I hope is not too late when that time comes.

For the others, there is only ☝🏽ONE WAY, TRUTH and intercesor to heaven and for salvation, and He is ✝️Christ; not your pastors, not your priests, not your elders, and not your “sacred wise” doctrine books; and I hope that finally y’all ready for this discussion…

Amén,

Gianco
